Community Guidelines
This is a chess club. Play hard, talk straight, and leave the room better than you found it.
Be respectful
Win graciously and lose graciously. Banter is fine; contempt isn't. Treat every opponent as someone you'd happily sit across from again.
No harassment, hate or spam
Don't threaten, demean or pile on. Slurs and hateful language about anyone's race, religion, sex, gender, disability or origin have no place here.
Don't send repeated unwanted messages, advertising or links. Messaging is for friends you've accepted — use it that way.
Never share personal information
Don't post your address, phone number, school, workplace or financial details — and never post anyone else's. If someone asks you for personal information, don't answer: report it.
How reporting works
Every message you receive has a Report action. Pick a reason and we keep a short excerpt so a moderator has context. The player is never told who reported them.
A person on our team reads each report and decides what happens next. You can block the player straight away — blocking is instant, works both ways and doesn't wait on us.
What happens if you break these
Depending on what happened, we may issue a warning, suspend an account for a period, or remove it altogether. Serious cases — threats, sexual content involving minors, or anything illegal — skip straight to removal.
